Enrollment

Online Student Registration
- All student registration is done online through Aspen, Monomoy’s Student Information System. This includes enrollment for preschool, Kindergarten, and any students new to the district.
- If you do not reside in Chatham or Harwich, you must apply as a School Choice student.
- Students entering Kindergarten must be age 5 before September 1 of the school year during which they wish to enroll.
- Initial admission of children to the first grade (or other grades) will involve a consideration of both chronological age and the readiness of the children to do the work of those grades.
- If you are interested in our Early Childhood Education programs, including Pups Preschool and Integrated Preschool, please click here for the necessary steps before enrollment. Students entering preschool must be age 3 or 4 before September 1 of the school year during which they wish to enroll.
Please read all of the instructions prior to clicking on the Register Here button at the bottom of this page.
Students will be enrolled immediately to the extent possible under the following conditions:
- Educational Opportunities for Military Children
To facilitate the placement, enrollment, graduation, data collection, and provision of special services for students transferring into or out of the District because of their parents or guardians being on active duty in the U.S. Armed Services, the District supports and will implement its responsibilities as outlined in the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children. The district believes it is appropriate to remove barriers to educational success imposed on children of military families resulting from frequent moves required by parents' or guardians' military deployment. - Educational Opportunities for Children in Foster Care
Educational stability has a lasting impact on students' academic achievement and well-being, and the School Committee is committed to supporting all efforts to ensure that students in foster care have equal access to high-quality, stable educational experiences from preschool (if offered) through high school graduation. - Educational Opportunities for Children Who Are Homeless
To the extent practical and as required by law, the district will work with homeless children and youth and unaccompanied youth (collectively, "homeless students") as well as their families or legal guardians to provide stability in school attendance and other services provided. Special attention will be given to ensuring the enrollment and attendance of homeless students who are not currently attending school.
